Effective October of 2011, Jill Cleaveland was named the CIO (Chief Information Officer) and Director of Client Service with the State Accounting Office. In this role, Jill will continue to oversee the State’s PeopleSoft Financial System and lead several key initiatives to improve client service and support of this statewide system.
Jill began serving the State as the PeopleSoft Director of Process Improvement and Client Services in June 2010 and was responsible for the oversight of PeopleSoft functional requirements and analysis, project resource management office, quality assurance, metrics, and customer service center. Jill came to the State of Georgia with experiences from Arthur Andersen LLP, Ernst & Young LLP, and SunTrust Banks.
Her background spans financial and IT auditing, regulatory compliance, business process improvements, data analysis, internal controls, ERP design and implementation, project management, client service and system support, which enables her to better understand and align the business and technical needs.
Jill has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Masters in Accounting Systems from Auburn University.
