Kris Martins is the Director of Financial Reporting for the State of Georgia’s State Accounting Office. She is responsible for the overall planning, coordination and delivery of the state’s regulatory financial reports including the CAFR and BCR. Before becoming Director of Financial Reporting she was part of the financial reporting team that worked on designing and implementing changes with the Financial Reporting Section which contributed to the FY 2009 CAFR (and BCR) being issued by the planned deadline without qualification.
Prior to joining the State of Georgia, Kris worked for Cingular, BellSouth and AT&T in a consolidations and financial reporting role. During her time at BellSouth and AT&T, Kris was a key team member in two system conversions from Hyperion Enterprise to Hyperion Financial Management.
Kris has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Miami University, Oxford, OH and she is a Certified Public Accountant.
