Round 2 HCM Data Validation begins in July
Data Validation is off to a great start as Round 1 Human Capital Management (HCM) Data Validation wrapped up successfully last month with a small, pilot group of agencies. In total, there will be five rounds of data validation for each business suite (HCM, Finance and Procurement), with the Round 2 HCM/Payroll Data Validation taking place July 18 – August 2. For the remaining data rounds of validations, all agencies will be included.
In the validation sessions, data validators check the integrity, accuracy and structure of data being transferred from the current TeamWorks system to GA@WORK.
These sessions are a crucial part of the NextGen project, ensuring GA@WORK data is clean and integrated accurately for each agency.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of the data validation process so far.
Foundation Data Model
This month, the Foundation Data Model (FDM), a significant element of the GA@WORK system, was introduced to the finance community. The new model represents a critical step toward a more efficient and robust financial system. It replaces the TeamWorks chart of accounts and provides a more flexible and efficient way to categorize and report on financial transactions in the GA@WORK system. The FDM will streamline financial workflows efficiently and accurately by establishing a consistent data structure.
Additional resources and support will be provided throughout the transition to ensure everyone is familiar with the new FDM structure.

Agency Preview Sessions
This summer, the NextGen Project Team will host a series of HCM Agency Preview Sessions across the state, giving attendees a sneak peek into what some of the most common HCM processes will look like in the GA@WORK system. This is a great opportunity for Human Resources, Learning and Payroll teams to get an up-close look at some of the new HCM and payroll processes in the GA@WORK system and ask questions to the NextGen Project Team.
The sessions will be held at various technical colleges across the state, and attendees will be able to select sessions that best align with their core responsibilities. Some of the session topics include new recruiting capabilities, changes in time and attendance as well as talent and learning management.
The full session schedule with locations is below.
Lanier Technical College: July 22, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
West Georgia Technical College (Murphy): July 23, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
