State Accounting Officer for Georgia

Gerlda B. Hines is the State Accounting Officer for Georgia. Ms. Hines is a Certified Public Accountant with years of proven public sector leadership experience.  Ms. Hines has previously served as the Commissioner for the Department of Human Services after serving as the Department's Chief of Staff since January 2019. Hines also served as Interim DHS Commissioner from November 2018 to January 2019.  Prior to her time as Interim Commissioner, Hines served as DHS Deputy Commissioner and Chief Financial Officer, managing the Department’s leadership team and overseeing a budget of more than $1.9 billion.

Kris Martins is the Deputy State Accounting Officer for Financial Reporting for the state of Georgia’s State Accounting Office. She is responsible for the overall planning, coordination and delivery of the state’s regulatory financial reports including the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and Budgetary Compliance Report (BCR), as well as SAO’s portion of the single audit report.

Kelly Dudley is the Deputy State Accounting Officer for Shared Services and the Chief Financial Officer for the State Accounting Office of Georgia. She brings more than 25 years of program management, process improvement, and fiscal governance knowledge.

Myra Guy is the State Accounting Office Chief Information Officer. She is an experienced team leader with technical and business expertise in IT leadership, management, and training and development.
