GA@WORK resources keep employees on track for go-live

In these final days before go-live, it is important to ensure you are fully prepared for GA@WORK. The All-Employee Readiness Checklist outlines key actions to complete prior to go-live and helps support a smooth and successful transition.

Below is a snippet from the checklist that focuses on the tasks that should be completed this month.

Additional resources to support go-live preparations are available on the GA@WORK Resource Library. Be sure to review the Employee Go-Live Guide, which provides a summary of upcoming changes and highlights key activities and milestones leading up to July 1.

Take time to explore the Get to Go-Live section on the GA@WORK Resource Library. This section includes helpful resources and tools such as calendars, a transition timeline, talking points, a glossary of key GA@WORK terms and frequently asked questions, all designed to help agencies prepare for GA@WORK.

Agency Soft Launch participants due June 12

Soft Launch is a period in June when GA@WORK will be accessible to a select group of employees for the purpose of performing critical tasks before go-live, July 1. Soft Launch kicks off June 22 and runs through June 30. Agency POCs are currently identifying employees to participate in various Human Capital Management and Finance activities.

Some catch-up activities that will take place during Soft Launch include:

  • HR/Benefits Manual Corrections
  • Creating job descriptions
  • Completing FY27 Budget Amendments
  • Validating proper Grants set up in GA@WORK

Approved participants will receive an email with access details and instructions for the task they need to complete.

Agency Support Teams gear up to assist employees after go-live

Agency Support Teams have been established in agencies to provide support to their employees once GA@WORK is live. These teams are responsible for coordinating and communicating within their agency about available resources to help resolve any GA@WORK issues. Solving at the agency-level first keeps business moving forward more quickly. The Agency Support Teams will escalate any issues and questions that cannot be successfully addressed at the agency level to GA@WORK support teams.

Agency Support Teams have access to the below tools and resources to help employees resolve any issues:

  • Super Users – trained to assist with business area specific issues
  • Training materials and experiences
  • Support Portal
  • Job Aids
  • GA@WORK Resource Library
  • Template Scenarios - “If this happens, try this” guidance
  • Agency Help Desk (if applicable)

Keep Watch: Emails from “[email protected]” mailbox coming July 1

Beginning July 1, all GA@WORK-related communications will be sent from the [email protected] email address. Please watch for messages from this address and review them carefully, as they will contain important announcements, updates and information regarding GA@WORK.

If you do not see any emails from the [email protected] email address in your inbox after go-live, please check your spam or junk folder.

Note: Future issues of this newsletter will be renamed “GA@WORK Newsletter” and will be delivered from [email protected].

GA@WORK users prepare to sign on July 1

With less than 30 days until GA@WORK goes live, agencies should be preparing their employees on how they will sign on to access the new system. Each agency going live with GA@WORK on July 1 is responsible for communicating sign-on information to their end users.

A communication template has been provided to Agency POCs to make communication to employees easier. This template should be updated to reflect your agency’s specific sign-on process and shared with employees.

Additional sign-on details will be provided in the June 15 Security Update Meeting - HRDs, CIOs, ASPs, were invited to attend.

Act now: Submit Time and Absence requests by June 24

Only time and leave requests submitted through June 30 and approved by June 24 will be processed in TeamWorks and converted to GA@WORK. Beginning June 25, TeamWorks will be available in read-only mode, and users will no longer be able to make updates.

All employees should do the following:

  • Enter and submit all time and leave requests through June 30 by June 24.
  • Take a snapshot of your current leave balance in TeamWorks and any future leave requests beyond June 30 in TeamWorks.
  • Save the screenshots to your desktop to validate in GA@WORK after July 1.
  • After July 1, enter any future-dated leave requests beyond June 30 in GA@WORK.

Those with authority to approve time should approve all time submissions and pending leave requests by June 24.

You Oughta Know

Complete Role-Based Training by June 11

The last day to complete Role-Based Training before the GA@WORK go-live is June 11. Any courses or learning programs that are incomplete as of June 11 will not appear on employee learning transcripts in GA@WORK. Additional post go-live trainings will resume in early August.

Beginning July 1, employees will have the ability to self-enroll in all learning programs, and starting July 6, new hires or people new to their position (for example non manager to manager), will be automatically enrolled in the GA@WORK Employee Foundational Learning Program and the GA@WORK Manager Foundational Learning Program, as applicable.

To support employees who miss the June 11 deadlines, recordings of previous Instructor-Led Training sessions and associated Learning Labs will be available on the GA@WORK Support Portal by early next week. These resources are intended to help employees build familiarity with the system.

Office Hours will also be offered after go-live to provide support and address agency-specific questions about GA@WORK. Additional details, including schedules and access information will be shared soon. We also encourage employees, with roles in the system, to visit the GA@WORK Support Portal for additional resources, including Job Aids for each functional area.

Mobile App access coming late ’26, early ’27

GA@WORK mobile access will not be available when the system goes live on July 1. Agencies will be able to opt-in for the Mobile App late 2026/early 2027. Until then, employees will be able to access GA@WORK on a smartphone or tablet through a web browser. Most tasks can be completed through the mobile web interface.

More information for the Mobile App opt-in process will be shared with agencies later this year. Read page 22 of the GA@WORK Employee Go-Live Guide for more details on the GA@WORK Mobile App.
