Take the GA@WORK Change Readiness Survey today

The final GA@WORK Change Readiness Assessment (CRA) Survey is now open through April 24. All future GA@WORK users are encouraged to participate. This includes any employees who use TeamWorks today.

As the last readiness survey before the July 1 go-live, this survey gives a final view of how prepared agencies are for the transition to GA@WORK. Feedback will help focus communications, training, and go-live support where they are needed most.

The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete, and all responses are anonymous.

Check out new Get to Go-Live materials and important dates

We are now 77 days away from go-live! As the countdown clock ticks down, more Get to Go-live materials will be published to the GA@WORK Resource Library to help agencies outline the path to go-live. The latest tool is the Get to Go-Live Overview and Timeline, which provides a general overview of what will be happening over the next few months. To access this document, visit the GA@WORK Resource Library, scroll to the bottom of the page to the Get to Go-Live section.

In some Get to Go-Live materials, you may see the terms “Soft Freeze” or “Hard Freeze” associated with cutoff dates for activities and transactions in legacy systems.

  • During a Soft Freeze, activities should be limited to only critical or emergency transactions.
  • Once a Hard Freeze begins, all activities should stop or access to the system will be restricted.

Adhering to the freeze dates will help in making data conversion from TeamWorks to GA@WORK accurate and provide for a smoother transition on July 1.

Continue to check the GA@WORK Resource Library for more content and materials that will be published.

What’s Next

Maximize GA@WORK Training with Learning Labs and key tips

Instructor-led training courses began on April 6, and employees continue to complete their assigned eLearning courses. As of April 13, almost 30% of employees have completed GA@WORK Employee Foundational Learning. Employees attending instructor-led courses will also have the option to attend Learning Lab sessions once their courses are completed. These sessions are designed to give course participants additional time to familiarize themselves with the course materials and ask questions. Learning Labs will be hosted every Friday starting April 17, and more details will be provided by course instructors at individual instructor-led training sessions.

Below are a few tips and tricks to help employees work through assigned trainings, navigate the Team Georgia Learning platform and complete courses:

  • Review the Team Georgia Learning Webinar, training FAQs and GA@WORK Training Tips and Tricks document (found in the Training FAQs tile) on the GA@WORK Resource Library
  • If possible, use Google Chrome to complete GA@WORK training, and make sure the browser is up to date
  • Always close out of your course if you are not able to complete it in one sitting
  • Click the exit button after completing each course for proper capture of course completion
  • If courses are left idle and not closed out, clear the browser cache before retaking the course

If you are still experiencing issues after watching the webinar and using these tips, submit a request for support using the Learning Help Form.

All employees: Review, update, and submit key items before go-live

In preparation for go-live, all State of Georgia employees need to complete the below tasks prior to July 1:

  1. Update personal information. If an employee has listed their personal phone number or email address in place of a work phone or work email, these must be updated or they will be available to the public in GA@WORK.
  2. Take screenshots of pay slips from Jan. 1 – June 30, 2026. Historic pay slips will not be converted into GA@WORK. This is important for any employees who might be buying a car or home and need proof of income.
  3. Submit any cash advances or expense reports in Concur by June 24.
  4. Take screenshots of leave requests and balances through June 30 to confirm accurate conversion once GA@WORK goes live and for record purposes.
  5. Download W2s older than five years. Only five years of W2s will be converted to GA@WORK. Employees should download any W2s beyond that date if needed.

The NextGen Team will be sending further communication on these items and is preparing job aids for employees to complete these activities. Stay tuned for more information.

Take action now to ready Procurement Data for GA@WORK

GA@WORK go-live is approaching, and to ensure accurate and reliable data in the system, a few Procurement data updates must be completed.

  1. Update Contact Information

Employees are encouraged to review and update their contact information in TeamWorks to ensure it does not appear on GA@WORK profiles or become visible to suppliers.

  2. Complete FY2027 Contract Renewals

FY2027 Contract Renewals should be completed in TeamWorks by June 1. This includes reviewing contracts to confirm that expiration dates are accurate and updating those that should remain active, particularly those being extended for FY2027.

Note: To ensure contracts successfully transfer to GA@WORK when the system goes live and to support open Purchase Orders, updates to contracts must be completed by May 29 and must reflect a July 1 expiration date. A Quick Reference Guide is available to assist with this purpose.

Lock in key dates for final round of Security Role Mapping

The final round of Security Role Mapping is launching on May 18, marking a critical step toward the July 1 go-live date. This cycle is essential because the role assignments provided by agencies directly inform training assignments, and accurate mapping ensures that every future GA@WORK user receives the specific, relevant training they need to succeed in the new system.

Key Dates & Support:

  • May 4: Security Role Validation activity begins (tentatively scheduled)
  • May 18: Kickoff meeting
  • May 19, 21, 26, 28: Virtual working sessions to provide hands-on technical support. An invitation will be sent a week before sessions.
  • May 29: Due date for finalized templates and attestations to guarantee a seamless transition for your agency

GA@WORK Support Portal launches May 4

Coming May 4, the GA@WORK Support Portal serves as a centralized Resource and Support Hub for technical guidance and system documentation for GA@WORK. This secure SharePoint site will house system support materials and information, establishing a "single source of truth" ahead of the full system go-live on July 1. Access is available to all GA@WORK users, excluding those assigned strictly to Employee Self-Service (ESS-only) or Manager Self-Service (MSS-only) roles.

Orientation webinars scheduled for April 28–30 will provide a comprehensive walkthrough of the hub’s features and navigation to ensure readiness for the May 4 release. Registration links were distributed via email on April 6. Please register for a session to ensure you receive a recording of the webinar.

Stay on Track: Complete ADP Tax Training requirements

If your agency selected Automatic Data Processing (ADP) to provide tax services for your agency, there are required trainings that must be completed by every payroll tax preparer to equip them for the transition to GA@WORK. These trainings review new processes and procedures that will govern tax processing through ADP.

The first training, ADP Employment Tax – Profile Maintenance, took place in early March. If you were unable to attend the session, the NextGen Team is holding a makeup training session for this course on Thursday, April 16 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m., and your agency’s tax preparer is required to attend.

A complete list of all ADP Trainings has been provided to agency tax preparers. If you believe you should be included in these trainings, please reach out to [email protected].
