What's New
Our process mapping engagement with Ernst & Young ends this month. The project team has been hosting in-person meetings in the past couple of weeks to wrap up the process and collaborate on next steps. The project team has also been focusing on individual and organizational strengths and how to organize special teams with the right resources during implementation.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the process mapping workshops. Your input and contributions are what will make Georgia’s future Enterprise Resource Planning system more modern, efficient and effective.
Process Mapping | By the Numbers
The below figures combine attendance and outcomes from Sprint 1 and Sprint 2 process mapping workshops that took place in December of last year, and in March and April of this year.
What's Next
Now that process maps have been created, the project team will be sharing what those maps look like. In the coming months, all TeamWorks agencies will get the opportunity to review and provide feedback on all established processes. This step is a great time to familiarize yourself with any changes that may be coming and get a glimpse of how Georgia’s business processes are being refined and streamlined. More details about this effort will be forthcoming.
You Oughta Know
The Request for Proposals (RFP) for the System Implementer (SI) has been posted. Our implementation partner will be crucial to the execution and success of the project. As soon as the SI is brought on board, the NextGen project will transition to the next project phase. As a reminder, from the issue date of the RFP until the final award is announced (or the eRFP is officially cancelled), suppliers are not allowed to communicate for any reason with any State staff except through the Issuing Officer on matters concerning the RFP. Prohibited communication includes all contact or interaction, including but not limited to telephonic communications, emails, faxes, letters, or personal meetings, such as lunch, entertainment, or otherwise.
